How does storage work on the Cruz R101, R102, or R103?
There are 3 areas of storage in the Reader, 2 are SD (one external, one internal) and the embedded system ROM. See below.
Internal SD Card:
Either 2GB or 4GB (Cruz Reader SE models come standard with a 2GB SD card, Cruz Reader R101 and R103 models include a 4GB SD card)
This is the preinstalled micro SD card. The Android apps you install will write file folders and app content to this removable storage. You may copy content to this location, but be careful of what you delete as it may impact the function of your apps.
External SD Card:
Up to 32GB
This external slot is for standard and SD and SDHC flash memory cards (up to 32GB) and is useful for storage, or for transferring files to and from your Cruz and your computer. You may copy files between internal and external storage using ASTRO.
Internal Device Storage (Embedded ROM)
The Android operating system uses this internal embedded storage. It is also the storage location to which apps are installed. It cannot be upgraded. You may not administer this storage location except to uninstall apps you have installed.
If you install too many apps, you will receive a warning messgae that storage is running low.
