Why am I having trouble setting up my Eastlink.ca or Access Cable email?


The preinstalled Email app in the Cruz devices cannot configure an account automatically with the Eastlink.ca or Access Cable mail servers. The correct email server settings are posted below for reference in setting up the account manually.


Email Address: [email protected] or [email protected] (Enter your Eastlink.ca or Access Cable Email user name in place of "username")
Password: Enter your Eastlink.ca or Access Cable Email password.

POP3, IMAP, or Exchange: POP3
Username: Enter the part of your Eastlink.ca or Access Cable email address that appears before the @ sign.
Password: Enter your Eastlink.ca or Access Cable Email password.
POP3 server: pop.eastlink.ca or pop.accesscable.net
Port: 110
Security type: None
Delete email from server: Never (If you delete a email in the app, it will not affect your Eastlink.ca or Access Cable account.)

SMTP server: smtp.eastlink.ca or smtp.accesscable.net
Port: 25
Security type: None
Require sign-in: checked
Username: Enter the part of your Eastlink.ca or Access Cable email address that appears before the @ sign.
Password: Enter your Eastlink.ca or Access Cable Email password.
